One of my goals for 2021 was to start creating more knitting patterns that weren’t just hats and headbands. This lovely Tea Cozy ALMOST fits that description.
The Tea Toque is designed so that you can customize it to your own tea pot, making it a piece you can use in your own home with your own china. I love it because I love having my pot of tea beside me as I knit up new projects or write up patterns.
The Tea Toque is made for adult tea pots, knit up in Super Bulky or Bulky, depending on your teapot’s preference.
It can be made Slouchy or Fitted, depending on your tea pot’s preference.
LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER
What you'll need for this pattern:
- US 13 / 9.0mm circular needles (12 inches)/ DPNs or size to obtain gauge
- OR US 10/ 6.0mm circular needles (12inch)/ DPNs or sie to obtain gauge
- Super Bulky Weight yarn – Malabrigo Rasta or WAK The Wool as examples
- OR Bulky weight yarn such as Malabrigo Mecha, WAK the Petite Wool
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
- Mini PomPom if desired
- A positive attitude
